The Fist is a 35mm video depiction of the first Guinness brewery established outside of Ireland and the UK, at Nigeria's Ikeja Industrial Estate 12 miles from Lagos. The facility, completed in 1962 after Nigeria's independence from Britain, focuses on industrialisation and labour. Akingbade shows the deep-rooted politics in the beverage's production by observing the factory's assembly and packing operations.
