TROPICAL MODERNISM: ARCHITECTURE AND POWER IN WEST AFRICA is the theme of V&A applied arts pavilion at the 2023 Venice Biennale. The exhibition reveals how West African architects embraced Tropical Modernism during a transitional period, utilising architecture to honour freedom, cultural legacy, and sustainable design.

The exhibition's centrepiece is a three-channel surround-sound film.
